Your liver is the largest organ inside your body. It helps your body digest food, store energy, and remove poisons. Fatty liver occurs when too much fat builds up in liver cells. Although it is normal to have a tiny amount of fat in these cells, the liver is considered fatty if more than 5% of it is fat. There are two main types:
Major risk factors for Fatty Liver include obesity, high triglycerides and type 2 diabetes, though it’s also associated with excessive alcohol consumption. Other risk factors include certain medications such as glucocorticoids, and hepatitis C. Eating excess calories causes fat to build up in the liver. When the liver does not process and break down fats as it normally should, too much fat will accumulate. So Diet plays a major role.
Often there are no or few symptoms. Most individuals are asymptomatic and are usually discovered incidentally because of abnormal liver function tests or hepatomegaly noted in unrelated medical conditions. Occasionally there may be tiredness or pain in the upper right side of the abdomen.
Just because simple fatty liver is harmless, it doesn’t mean it is not a serious condition. As the disease is linked to being overweight or obese, people with any stage of the disease are more at risk of developing a stroke or heart attack.
1.Stage/Grade 1: simple fatty liver (steatosis)
This is where excess fat builds up in the liver cells but is considered harmless. There are usually no symptoms and you may not even realise you have it until you receive an abnormal blood test result.
2.Stage/Grade 2: nonalcoholic steatohepatitis
Stage 2 is a more aggressive form of the condition, where the liver has become inflamed.
3.Stage/Grade 3: fibrosis
This fibrous tissue replaces some of the healthy liver tissue, but there is still enough healthy tissue for the liver to continue to function normally.

The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is a United Nations International Day against drug abuse and the illegal drug trade. It is observed annually on 26 June, since 1989. The UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) has, over the years, been actively involved in launching campaigns to mobilize support for drug control.
The theme for the 2020 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking “Better Knowledge for Better Care” emphasizes the need to improve the understanding of the world drug problem and how in turn, better knowledge will foster greater international cooperation for countering its impact on health, governance and security.
According to the UNODC, nearly 200 million people are using illicit drugs such as cocaine, cannabis, hallucinogens, opiates and sedative hypnotics worldwide. They are leading miserable lives, between life and death.
Drug abuse is a global phenomenon, affecting almost every country, but its extent and characteristics differ from region to region. India too is caught in this vicious circle of drug abuse, and the numbers of drug addicts are increasing day by day. Problems of drug dependence produce dramatic costs to all societies in terms of lost productivity, transmission of infectious diseases, family and social disorder, crime, and excessive utilization of health care. Cannabis, heroin, opium, and hashish are the most commonly used drugs in India after alcohol and tobacco. Tobacco is mentioned in substance abuse to highlight that it should be remembered as the primary licit substance of abuse in our country. Drug users are mainly young and predominately male. The damage to the physical, psychological, moral, and intellectual growth of the youth is very high.
For any individual to become an Addict, he does have contributing factors like, biological, social, cultural and environmental. You often have a person who feels ashamed, insecure, inferior and ill equipped to negotiate his or her way in the world. They believe they can only face their fears or feel any better when they use their drug. He uses his substance to escape reality and live in the world he wants to live in by ignoring his real life and the problems he has to deal with. When an addict is abstinent from his substance, he/she would experience withdrawals.
Addiction treatment & Rehabilitation
Helping addicts recover and rebuild their lives by helping them restructure their personality with psychotherapy and medical interventions is a paramount priority in process of Addiction treatment & Rehabilitation.

The neurotransmitter serotonin is involved in controlling many important bodily functions, including sleep, aggression, eating, sexual behavior, and mood. Norepinephrine helps our bodies to recognize and respond to stressful situations. Dopamine plays an important role in controlling our drive to seek out rewards, as well as our ability to obtain a sense of pleasure. Imbalance of these neurotransmitters can be caused by following factors :
